MTL Cycle Challenge (Défi Vélo MTL)
Défi Vélo MTL is a sprint aimed at developing intelligent urban mobility solutions for Montreal's cyclists. Using new data sets made available by Bixi and the city, come imagine projects, products and services that encourage and improve the experience of cycling in Montreal.

Do you recognize yourself in one of the following categories? Register now in teams of five or fewer members. You may also register individually, and we’ll be happy to help you form a team on-site.
Representatives of the cycling community
Designers (UX, services, etc.)
Municipal and paramunicipal employees
Coders, geeks, technophiles
Participants, it’s your move! Observer tickets are also available for those who want to attend the evening launch and Sunday presentations.
Participants must direct their efforts towards developing a solution for one of the two following issues
The use of open data will be at the heart of developing the solutions
New datasets to come- Bicycle travel (start/destination) from AMT and partner's 2013 OD Study - Start/destination of Bixi trips for season 2015 - Bicycle travel (GPS tracking) using the application Mon RésoVélo provided by the city

When it’s time to present the results, the jury evaluating the solutions will consist of the following individuals:
District 3 is an entrepreneurial community within Concordia University, in the heart of downtown Montreal, encouraging collaboration, creativity and innovation. Meanwhile, the Centre for Teaching and Learning offers a workspace and an active training class, also providing a number of services to faculty members as well as graduate students.
